DESTROYING THE DEVOID Paramnesia

Once in a while, when searching through the endless jungle of new releases, you will discover gold. Albums that you instantly know will be played frequently for years to come. 'Paramnesia' certainly represents one of those rare moments that makes the search for new music worthwhile. Destroying The Devoid is a solo project from Deeds Of Flesh guitarist Craig Peters where his aim was to push the boundaries of technical death metal even further. The result is a blend of technical death metal and progressive metal, where the best of both worlds has been mixed together with symphonic elements in a grandious, theatrical and epic landscape. It's all in there; technical brilliance, brutality, acoustic pieces, symphonic passages, death grunts, clean vocals, a great production, but most important; brilliant songs. All seven tracks on 'Paramnesia' are premium quality, still I have to mention the amazing three part suite 'Beyond The Dark Veil' that clocks in on just above 20 minutes - it simply doesn't get any better than this.
