GLORYHAMMER Tales From The Kingdom Of Fife

GLORYHAMMER is a new project from ALESTORM mastermind Christopher Bowes. ´Tales From The Kingdom Of Fife´is a concept album that tells the story of an alternate history medieval Scotland, a realm of wizards, dragons and everything else that belongs in a fantasy concept. Everything is perfectly wrapped into a melodic and symphonic power metal soundscape, with great production and a fantastic atmosphere. Ok, so it has all been done before by bands like Rhapsody and their likes, but who cares as long as it is done in such a convincing manner. This is simply the best album I´ve heard within this genre since the first two Rhapsody albums. All ten tracks are of premium quality with all necessary ingredients such as pounding double bass drums, enthralling riffs, bombastic orchestral parts and catchy, singalong friendly choruses. Vocal duties on this album is handled by Thomas Winkler (EMERALD), and what a talented singer this guy is. His performance alone makes it worth buying this album, but it certainly don´t hurt with top notch songs either. Buy this album folks, and you are in for an overwhelming epic power metal surprise.
