SHAKRA Mad World
HotI have always considered Shakra as one of the most exciting and fresh sounding new bands within the melodic hard rock genre, so I guess it came as a bit of a shock to read that ‘Mad World’ marks their 25th anniversary as a band. Time flies for sure. Even though I still appreciate the early albums as their best I can honestly say that none of the later albums in the Shakra discography has disappointed me. This is of course due to the fact that Shakra always has remained true to what they do best by keep writing catchy and pumping hard rock anthems custom made for the stage and that just seems to stick to the listeners brain like glue. The same thing goes for ‘Mad World’, nothing revolutionary about it just twelve tracks of pure quality and very well produced no bullshit hard rock. Shakra anno 2020 sounds tighter than ever and singer Mark Fox still has his charismatic voice intact and I’m already looking forward to the next 25 years of Shakra music.
