Rocking Rolf and his Running Wild are back with what is their 15th studio album, and their second since the reunion. I must admit that I have never been a fan of Running Wild and, with the exception of ´Death And Glory´, I haven´t been very impressed with any of the albums I´ve heard over the years. Last years ´Shadowmaker´ was actually quite poor so you can safely say that my expectations ahead of this new album were rather low. After having played ´Resilient´ a couple of times I´m still not convinced, but with that said I must ad that it´s way better than its predecessor and surely a step in the right direction. There are some good songs here with the nearly ten minutes long ´Bloody Island´ as the definite highlight, but the opening track, ´Soldier of fortune´ and the title track deserves to be mentioned as well. The album has a few rather average and less interesting tracks as well and that´s why I ended up just in the middle of the scale, which means 5 points.
