TAD MOROSE Revenant

Tad Morose must be among the most underrated power metal bands around today, despite the fact that they have delivered several strong albums throughout their career they have never really received the attention they deserve. Since the beginning in 1991 numerous members have passed through the ranks of Tad Morose and that is once again the case in front of the release of ‘Revenant’. New members on this album are singer Ronny Hemlin (ex-Steel Attack), bass player Tommi Karpanen (ex-Morgana Lefay) and guitarist Kenneth Johnsson. Despite all these changes the sound has not changed too much. The all over atmosphere of the material is perhaps slightly darker, much due to the vocals. It sounds even more American style power metal than ever before and everything is wrapped into a powerful and clear production. Hemlin’s vocal performance is excellent and it suits the material just perfect, but I have to give credit to the brilliant guitar duo as well for their intense and powerful riffing and melodic lead work. The song material is very strong as well so I’m confident that most Tat Morose fans out there will be more than satisfied with the result, and to all you power metal fans out there that haven’t yet discovered this Swede force of power metal; Wake Up!
