THE ARTIFICE PRECEPT Premonition
Hot
I stumbled over The Artifice Precept more or less by accident, and there's not much information to be found about this band around the internet either. But as far as I understand they are heading form US and 'Premonition' is their debut album, or it's probably more correct to say EP since it's seven tracks in total clocks in on around 25 minutes. Don't let that scare you from checking it out though, cause it will be 25 well invested minutes indeed. The music is well rooted in the deathcore genre, but with a technical and symphonic edge that works ekstremely well and parallels can easily be drawn to a band like Shadow Of Intent. On the vocal side we get a fine mixture of death growls and screams which seems to be the norm when it comes to deathcore, with the first of those two vocal styles as the more dominant. There's tons of really nice guitarwork to be found here, and I love the orchestral/keys arrangements that gives the album a beautiful symphonic and epic expression. Not much more to add actually, but do your self the favour of checking out 'Premonition' if you consider yourself a fan of the genre. While still enjoying this EP al lot, I aldready look forward to the continuation, which hopefully will come in the shape of a full length album.
